The Internal Communications Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to advance the firm’s goals and objectives, while developing relationships with leadership and employees across the firm. In addition to Internal Communications, the coordinator will work with the Director of Communications & Public Relations on the overall voice of the firm. The Internal Communications Coordinator ultimately leads the evolution of the messaging to employees, promoting a shared understanding of company objectives, and ensuring alignment with the organizational goals and culture. This position will be located in either our Boston or New York offices.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals, values, and culture.
- Message Development: Create clear and compelling messages that convey important information, company updates, and organizational goals to employees.
- Executive Communication Support: Assist executives and senior management in crafting and delivering messages to employees throughout the organization.
- All Staff Meetings: Plan, coordinate, and design materials for All Staff meetings, which provide opportunities for employees to interact with leadership and ask questions.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work collaboratively with HR, Marketing, and other departments to align Internal Communications with external messaging.
- Employee Recognition and Stories: Highlight employee achievements and success stories to promote a sense of pride and shared identity within the organization.
- Content Creation: Propose and create thoughtful content using written and visual media, and distribute that content across the firm’s various communication channels.

- Demonstrates a strong capacity for strategic thinking, including the ability to analyze complex problems, envision innovative solutions, and formulate actionable plans that align with overarching organizational goals. Proficient in identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, and making well-informed decisions that contribute to the long-term success of the company.
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and priorities to define clear, actionable steps to messaging and communication strategy.
- Able to craft engaging digital communication strategies while ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice
Education:
Experience:
- Five years of job related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including efficient and nuanced copy editing
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, including situations with many stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with architecture, landscape, or planning firms is not required, but beneficial
