Title: Director, Global Accounting
Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid 3 days onsite in a week)
Duration: Full Time
The Director of Accounting is a key leader responsible for overseeing and providing strategic direction for the global close and consolidation processes. In this role, they ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting for various areas within the financial statements. They also lead the Global Accounting function for operating expenses, fixed assets and lease accounting, the global consolidation, and the India and Philippines controller functions. Additionally, the Director of Accounting is accountable for maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet close and reconciliation processes and ensuring the effective operation of related internal controls. This position reports to the Vice President, North America Controller and collaborates with various departments across the organization.
What you’ll do
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership, internal customers, and employees.
• Monitor the functions performance and make strategic decisions to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Lead and manage teams to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.

• Lead North America's general ledger financial accounting and global consolidation, while coordinating with other regions as necessary.
• Ensure timely month and quarter end closing schedules.
• Oversee the analysis of operating expense fluctuations and collaborate with internal teams to address significant non-standard transactions.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
• Identify process improvements, document solutions, and drive execution of these improvements.
• Partner with the Finance Systems team to ensure effective deployment and utilization of finance technology and tools, including overseeing relevant system change requirements and testing.
• Manage confidential accounting and reporting matters as well as lead functional area acquisition-related procedures and integration efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• Minimum professional accounting experience of 12+ years total, with 4-6 minimum years of public company/public accounting manager experience.
• Considerable US GAAP and general ledger accounting experience, as well as ERP expertise.
• CPA required
• Expertise in US GAAP general ledger close process.
• Knowledge of financial statement processes, policies, and procedures.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and develop teams, provide direction, and focus on strategy.
• Passion for process and system improvement, with prior experience in ERP and financial close systems (SAP and BPC skills are a plus).
• Professional demeanor with executive presence, able to interact with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
• Strong analytical skills, able to analyze data to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally, with the ability to resolve and escalate issues.
• Strong project management skills, delivering timely and effective results.
• Resourceful and driven, with the ability to problem-solve and complete tasks.
• Results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong keyboard and 10-key skills.
