Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Overview:

Centric Brands is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Director of Finance and Corporate Planning. This pivotal role in our Sleepwear and Beauty Division will be responsible for driving the development and execution of comprehensive strategic plans to optimize inventory management.  The Director will also support all financial activity for brands within our Sleepwear and Beauty Division, including but not limited to forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling and variance analysis.  The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the division, driving profitability, and optimizing resource allocation to support our growth objectives.  

The ideal candidate would have experience in both wholesale planning and finance.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Inventory Planning:

Sales & Buy Margin Alignment:

  • Create simple process to support margin analysis (Production Entered vs. Approved vs. Sales), includes working with/supporting production in order to achieve more real time margin visibility well ahead of system order entry
  • Conduct a thorough weekly review of the purchase order base and identify any risks or opportunities as it relates to achieving the monthly sales
  • Communicate any risks/opportunities due to stock position or account feedback
  • Own weekly sales projections & book ship report submitted to corp (work with Operations team)
  • Monitor WIP to proactively manage flow timing
  • Inventory OTB (weekly submissions)
  • Monthly Seasonal & Customer inventory flow and reporting as well as forecast and maintain projected weeks of supply
  • ATS/Obsolete/SMO Inventory Management and Reporting
  • DC Unit Plans (Monthly LE and budget)

Sales & Margin LE / Budget Ownership:

  • Monthly reforecast of sales & margin by customer by product category (LE)
  • Partner closely with sales to understand to go bookings and validate SAP accuracy
  • Provide monthly forecast on prepaid customers for freight forecast as well as visibility to warehouse vs DI inventory flow
  • Own Budget process by working closely with sales & MFP to forecast by account by product category

FP&A:

  • Oversee forecasting/budgeting P&L models as well as develop ad hoc financial models to address business needs.
  • Identify, track and analyze key metrics that impact the business
  • Manage the identification of trends, opportunities, and risks to inform management decisions.
  • Partner with accounting to complete the month end close, closely managing dilution, royalties, and operational expenses but also monitoring the full P&L.
  • Ensure reconciliation of variances versus budget and prior year.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to automate, streamline and improve reporting, budgeting and operational processes.
  • Support day-to-day operations with various finance functions.
  • Provide cost/benefit analysis of various financial elements of potential new initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management presentations/reporting packages.
  • Ad-hoc analyses as needed

Finance & Planning Efficiency and Special Projects Hub

  • Drive process efficiencies and standardization within the FINANCE AND planning functions to enhance productivity and accuracy (Power BI and excel skills strength)
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in finance, inventory, and sales planning, with a proven track record of success in strategic planning, inventory management, and financial analysis
  • Wholesale Experience in Apparel, Accessories, Fashion and/or Consumer Products industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning software; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred

Salary Range: $132,000 - $175,000

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent.  Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment.  The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.  Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
