The American Express Corporate Affairs & Communications (CA&C) team is a strategic function that works to enhance and protect the continued strength of the American Express brand through public relations, social media and content, colleague communications, Corporate Sustainability (CS), Community Impact and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. How will you make an impact in this role? Colleague Engagement and Programs Programs & Activations Drives Serve2Gether and Give2Gether global strategy and activities year-round, demonstrating year-over-year increased participation, positive experience and value-add for both community partners and American Express colleagues.

Manages the colleague volunteer program (Serve2Gether) in the U.S. and globally to respond to team volunteer requests, which include traditional volunteering, virtual volunteering and skills-based volunteering. Lead American Express's fall Give2Gether Campaign, driving in-person events including competitions, storytelling and activations with Give2Gether champions/BU leads to drive increased giving and participation.

Facilitates colleague matching funds year-round for both U.S. and international locations, ensuring organizations and colleagues are within guidelines and compliant. Designs, creates and executes all New York based colleague volunteer events, including annual holiday drive.

Manage dedicated slack channels and square intranet site with relevant information, guidelines and engaging materials (e.g. toolkit, etc.) Work closely with internal teams to support and improve guidelines to provide clear guidelines for events with colleagues. Develop best practice toolkit for colleague engagement activities with nonprofit partners.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Proactively engages with key internal stakeholders including Colleague Engagement Group (CEG), Colleague Networks, Business Unit and International CSR leads to promote Give2Gether, Green2Gether and Serve2Gether programs. Partner with Community Impact international managers and site leads to provide advice and support for market-relevant opportunities, driving alignment with global strategy. Work closely with with VP Philanthropy, Head of Corporate Sustainability and Communications team to develop presentation for Board Trustees, senior executives, and internal meetings.

Grant Management Lead Enterprise volunteer grants that provide multi-site opportunities that meet the needs of local offices and colleagues. Work closely with Program Officers and International Community Impact managers to develop proposals and alignment for locally funded colleague engagement opportunities.cm` Support newly designated grants portfolio of Community & Culture grants to support nonprofit organizations aligned with American Express's Blue Box values. Refresh Colleague Engagement approach with partnerships with multi-site opportunities and opportunities aligned with grantmaking strategy (e.g.

mentoring, financial literacy, environmental stewardship) Systems Management, Measurement, and Reporting Vendor management - onboard, third-party lifecycle management and ongoing oversight of colleague engagement platforms and vendors, including for Benevity platform. Continue to assess relevance and value of additional platforms to support colleague engagement, working closely with Foundation Finance, Operations, and Systems team. Monitor, collect, and report on budget and impact metrics, tracking KPIs to support colleague engagement goals.

(e.g. volunteer hours, skills-based, mentoring, etc.) and facilitate quality measurement collection and reporting. Innovation Be at the forefront of trends, industry insights, and new approaches to colleague engagement, and bring new thinking to broader Philanthropy and Sustainability team and its programs.

Explore technology platforms and innovations (e.g. AI chatbot, etc.) to improve colleague experience and servings. Pilot new colleague engagement initiatives, partnerships, and activations to further leadership, volunteering and giving.

Minimum Qualifications 10 years of experience, ideally in Corporate Responsibility, Human Resource, Employee Engagement or Communications Results-oriented leader with desire to increase participation and year-over-year giving to community nonprofits that colleagues care about. Inspirational leader who enjoys mobilizing for social good and activating activities at scale. Nimble generalist, willing and capable of flexing as team and priorities grow.

Entrepreneurial mindset, willing and capable of building new programs end-to-end from ideation to execution. Demonstrated excellence in project management and attention to detail. Enjoys and excels in fast paced working environment, can balance multiple projects on a tight deadline Strong written and verbal communications; comfort speaking in public settings Personable, enjoys meeting and working with new and different individuals and teams Innovative, creative, and flexible mindset Preferred Qualifications Understanding of DEI landscape and background in working with nonprofits and developing community partnerships.

Experience leading or convening colleague events, global volunteer initiatives, and mobilizing for a cause. Managing teams a plus, and ability to work in a matrix organization. Understanding of financial services business is a plus Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
