Manages the Audiology Department in consultation with the Chief of ENT and Audiology. Responsibilities include staff recruitment and supervision, clinic protocol design, program development, and equipment selection and maintenance. Provides direct diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology care.
Responsibilities
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate articulately written and verbally
- Knowledge and skill in evidence-based clinical practice following standards and guidelines of the profession
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good diagnostic audiology skills with the ability to work efficiently in a busy medical clinic. Ability to provide appropriate follow-up and referral to other health care and/or educational professionals
- Expertise and interest in selecting and fitting amplification, and ability to educate and support patients/family in amplification use
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in teams.
- Ability to write accurate, concise, professional reports
- Ability to maintain organized records, supplies, and work area
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of Management and program development experience
- Experience and proven excellence in diagnostic work in a medical setting and in amplification fitting
- Provide respectful, effective and caring service
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D. or Ph.D.)
