Director, Ambulatory And Population Health Applications

Our Emory Digital department is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Ambulatory and Population Health applications. The Director would be responsible for implementation, management oversight, and optimization of Epic modules including but not limited to EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, Bones, Phoenix and Healthy Planet as well as other clinical applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• In conjunction with senior management team of the IS department, actively participates in shaping the overall direction of the department and provides leadership in positioning the institution to be a leader among its peers. Responsible for all aspects of information services strategy and operations, including development, implementation, and maintenance.
• Leads and directs the work of others including resource supply management (capacity management, etc.). Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures including architectural and analysis concepts, production support concepts and project management concepts.
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for management and/or regulatory agencies. Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance.
• Assesses needs and develops and implements staff development and training programs as appropriate. Prepares materials and shares knowledge and expertise; provides informal counseling on an ongoing basis. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and 10 years of relevant IT experience is required. A master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in providing leadership to information services teams including the use of various technologies to solve business problems, project planning and management techniques, budget planning and management, and the management of strategic customer and vendor relationships.
