Position Overview:
The director will lead GATORWORKS Advanced pursuits and will be responsible for the business P&L - identifying technology, developing strategy, expanding customer/industry partnerships, and delivering through program execution the propulsion solutions and technology that will differentiate P&W Military Engines portfolio into the future.
This position will report in-office 4 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead team of 20+ employees direct line, and the Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT)
- Customer mix of external (DoD/A&D primes) and program customers (Internal investment)
- Mange a mix of classified and unclassified activities, predominantly US based employees and work
- Develop product and business strategies supported with strong data and analytics
- Total P&L / E&D management and program execution to plan
- Example product & technology areas:
- Application of additive manufacturing
- Rotating Detonation engine technology
- USAF/Jetzero flight demonstrator program - Geared Turbofan Integration
- Air Force Research Labs ATTAM Program portfolio
- 6th Gen technology programs
- CMC’s & emerging technology demonstration
- High mach propulsion, novel propulsion
- Grow relationship, alignment & programs with AirForce Labs, Naval Research, DARPA, Army Labs, and new customers including new and existing weapon system contractors.
- Deliver on major contract/program commitments.
- Leverage and accelerate agile adoption and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) at P&W and within customer programs
- Develop Pwin/Competitive assessments associated with offerings
- Resource and staff Gatorworks team with increasing talent and proficiency, and foster development
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline is required with 14+ engineering, technical, military/government customer support experience, or; advanced degree with 12+ engineering, technical, military/government customer support experience
- Ability to obtain a TS security clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to establish and implement business strategies with a longer-term focus (three to five years) based on the organization's vision
- Ability to lead innovation and change
- Analytical horsepower / business case & decision making framework
- Solve multi-dimensional problems requiring end-to-end solutions with direct impact on operational, financial, and human factors
- Leverage knowledge spanning strategy, technology/engineering, P&W/RTX product portfolio, customer/market capability demands & plans
- Exhibit strong analytical and strategy development, communications, and ability to navigate/synthesize technical principles and relationships
- Ability to efficiently prep and communicate with ME/P&W leadership & external customers, to inform, influence, and alignment where necessary.
- Occasional domestic travel
- Capable of TS Clearance
