The Director, Accounting and Reporting is responsible for leading the monthly closing, financial reporting, and analysis process, ensuring that appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place and complied with, and driving internal controls related to Accounting and financial reporting. This role will also support financial planning and budgeting activities and drive an initiative to strengthen Guidehealth’s financial infrastructure including a new financial software platform.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Managing and overseeing Accounting and Reporting activities for the company.
• Developing and maintaining the monthly closing schedule, ensure that all transactions are recorded appropriately in accordance with GAAP, ensuring that all balance sheet and income statement accounts are reconciled monthly, analyzing and commenting on monthly fluctuations, producing monthly financial statements with variance analysis.
• Providing leadership to internal and external resources to select and implement a new financial software platform that provides flexibility, control, and the ability to scale as Guidehealth’s business grows organically and by acquisition.
• Supporting the integration of acquisitions into Guidehealth’s infrastructure and processes, including Accounting and Reporting.
• Supporting corporate capital raising initiatives.
• Supporting the financial rollout of new value-based care business with required policy, platform, process, and Reporting changes necessary to support this business expected to begin generating revenue in early 2024.
• Establishing and enforce compliance with corporate policies and procedures regarding proper approval and recording of all transactions. As needed take the initiative to identify policies that are needed to improve internal control and Reporting.
• Monitoring and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and analysis as required.
• Promoting an environment of “continuous improvement” with recommendations to improve systems and procedures, along with required corrective actions, as we gain more experience as an organization.
• Establishing and maintaining organized electronic records that can be easily accessed, for files and records that support and document transactions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• 10+ years proven experience in accounting, financial reporting and managing projects.
• Range of experience in both large, complex organizations and development stage settings.
• Team player and collaborative approach to work and problem solving.
• Experience with financial software including Quick Books and larger platforms, NetSuite, etc.
• Computer skills with MS Office – Excel, Power Point, and Word.
• Deep analytical skills, attention to detail and accurate work.
  
• Strong written and verbal communicator.
• BS in Accounting or Finance, GAAP Accounting
• CPA a plus

Guidehealth’s compensation structure includes more than just base salary. Our paid time off program includes paid holidays and flexible time that focuses on meeting the demands of the position and our clients, while providing the balance that our employees need.

The base pay range for this role is between $135k to $145k per year paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
