At CarMax Auto Finance, we put the needs of our customers and associates first, while supporting our retail division in their quest to make the car buying experience iconic. As a Director in Operations, you will have oversight of one or a combination of the following areas: Customer Service, Collections, Back Office or other support functions. This role will provide management and oversight of all aspects of your assigned area; demonstrate a commitment to excellence and collaborate well with all levels of management while delivering a best in class service to our customers, store locations, and vendors with optimal efficiency, compliance, and accuracy. Lastly, you are responsible for overseeing and maintaining the world class culture we enjoy by driving associate engagement and development.
As a Director, you will spend your time:
- Providing oversight of operations and productivity ensuring that we have the right processes and they are accurately executed in accordance with policies, procedures and company expectations within specified timeframes.
- Setting direction in identifying, assessing and developing talent and developing a plan to groom future leaders to ensure CarMax Auto Finance has a strong management bench.
- Driving associate engagement by leading management teams through targeted activities and interactions with their associates.
- Thinking globally and strategically to identify initiatives and improvements to drive the organization forward.
- Staying up to date on current industry practices/standards/innovations.
- Supporting change and being a leader to effectively manage change.
- Understanding the P&L and able to quickly identify gaps and levers to consistently meet or exceed financial targets
What you need to succeed:
- Strong business acumen and functional knowledge
- Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in addition to prioritization and planning skills
- Ability to champion change, effectively influence others, down, across and up, and work effectively in a team-based environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally, with all levels across the organization
- Ability to leverage broad network and make connections to influence across the business
- Proven leadership within a culture focused on employee and customer engagement
- Understanding of call center technology and systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
To be eligible:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and 10+ years of applicable management experience
- Experience in a call center and/or auto finance environment preferred.
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Kennesaw, GA CarMax Auto Finance Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement
