The Arc of Hunterdon County is seeking kind, honest, reliable people to support adults with developmental disabilities throughout Hunterdon County.

We offer a variety of schedules and the opportunity for career growth!

Day Shifts 8am-4pm ~ Evening Shifts 3pm-11pm ~ Overnight Shifts 11pm-9am

Weekdays ~ Weekends ~ Full-time ~ Part-Time ~ Per Diem

Positions available assisting individuals in neighborhood homes, apartments, and day programs. No experience necessary, but experienced DSPs are always welcome. Three weeks of paid training provided.

Some Direct Support Professional job duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist individuals to make tripes for banking, food shopping and other errands
• Help individuals with life skills, such as reading, writing, answering the telephone
• Promote and assist in suggesting healthy lifestyle choices for individuals we support
• Assist in personal care
• Administer medications at scheduled times
• Directly support and assist with vehicle transfers when necessary
• Assistance with crossing the streets and busy lots
• Maintain an organized office space
• Maintain prompt and proper documentation

Job Types: Full time, part time, per diem

Minimum Requirements:

• Must support people respectfully and with kindness at all times
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license with fewer than four points is required
• A willingness to undergo required background checks is needed
• Must be over 18 years of age
