Youth Consultation Service (YCS) is a behavioral health and social services agency that has been caring for at risk children and families since 1918 in therapeutic residences, special education schools, in-home and in-community programs throughout NJ.
Winslow CSAP is intended to work with high-risk behavior clients through a comprehensive understanding of what may be contributing to the high-risk behaviors.
Residential Assistant are expected to have a unique sensitivity to recognize and appropriately respond to clients who may have evidenced difficulties.
(We have flexible days to meet your needs for shifts and guidance by a wonderful psychiatric and medical support team.)
Duties include but not limited to:
- Document client observations and behaviors.
- Provide role modeling to adolescent population.
- Teach and interact with clients
- Provide recreation and promote socialization skills.
- Promote socialization skills.
- Observation and documentation of success along with identifying current or suggesting new therapeutic goals which may require attention by the treatment team
- Carrying out expected interventions
- Keep accurate and timely records.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license.
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
Bachelor’s degree with one year experience or High school graduate (or equivalent) with 3 years of experience providing direct care to individuals with I/DD in a behavioral health or institutional setting.
Schedule: During the week or Saturday & Sunday (Flexible days)
Full time or Part time 3p-11p or 11p-7a

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Group home or Residential care facility: 3 years (Preferred)
- Working with youth in a group or behavioral setting: 3 years (Required)
- Working as a peer counselor, youth group or mentor/tutor: 3 years (Required)
- Volunteer work with youth in any capacity: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
