Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in condition
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Skills:
- Strong drive to help others and make a difference in their lives
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and ability to take vital signs
- Familiarity with nursing home or senior care systems and protocols
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in behavior management techniques is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
