Direct Support Professional Fridays 3-8Pm

```Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as Direct Support Professional on Friday evening 3pm to 8pm. You will work with one client in her home. You will generally go to a movie or do something fun Fridays. She likes to go out to eat, have her hair braided, and play games like cribbage or Yahtzee.

If you are trained to work with her you can pick up other shifts with her. She has 24 hour a day 1:1 staff. She is very independant, yet very vulnerable.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling and independent lives. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, including household chores, budgeting, and transportation
- Promote independence and community integration by facilitating social and recreational activities
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals
- Document individual progress and communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment

Experience:
- Previous experience in Direct Support or a related field is required
- Knowledge of systems related to developmental disabilities and social work principles
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Basic understanding of first aid procedures and the ability to take vital signs
- Experience in lifting and transferring individuals with mobility limitations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
