Direct Support Professional / Enhanced Level

We are seeking individuals interested in having a positive impact on the life of a 30-year-old man on the Autism Spectrum. This Direct Support Professional job involves working directly with this young man in his home in Lititz, PA and surrounding community. This DSP will meet the qualifications specified below.

This young man has distinct likes and hobbies and knows what he likes to do. He enjoys all outside activities including hunting for bugs and snakes and going fishing. He is very fun to be around and hang out with. He enjoys singing, listening to music, visiting museums and antique shops, and bowling.

Qualifications for this position:
· Have a valid driver’s license.
· Submit to a criminal background check.
· Be physically able and willing to accompany this high energy young man in outside activities including in the woods and around streams and lakes.
· Participate in training regarding the young man’s service and behavior plan and follow those plans as well as guidance from his Behavior Specialists and Parents.
· Be able to stay calm in stressful situations.

MUST possess one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Gerontology
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
Registered Behavior Technician
NADD Competency-Based Direct-Support Professional Certification
NADD Competency Based Clinical Certification
NADD Competency-Based Dual Diagnosis Certification

Preferences for these positions:
Experience with Individuals on the autism spectrum
Experience with behavior support
Enjoy the outdoors and not be put off by bugs or snakes
Play a musical instrument or enjoy music
