Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and a personal vehicle at your own disposal.
- Physical and 1-step TB.
- Personal vehicle required. All work-related travel is eligible for mileage reimbursement.
- Must meet Act 33/34 requirements and FBI background check.
- Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds.
Salary/rate:
$15.76 per hour

Position Description
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide direct care and personal support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting They ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the people we support.
We positively impact the people we support in a number of ways: taking people to medical appointments, participating in activities, and helping people with personal care, and supporting activities of daily living.
Job Responsibilities - Highlights
- Demonstrates a person-centered practice's approach by working on each person's goals and outcomes.
- Maintain a healthy balance between supporting a person's health and safety and their self-determination.
- Completes required trainings.
- Assists each person in maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
- Communicates with supervisor and participates in staff meetings and supervision.
- Maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship with families/other team members.
- Demonstrates and understands the responsibilities of reporting incidents per state and federal guidelines.
Minimum requirements:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED with one year of related experience as a provider of direct care support for persons with disabilities.
- Valid driver's license and properly insured vehicle.
- Satisfactory ACT 33/34 as well as FBI clearances required.
- Must have a smart device.
- Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within six months of start date.
