Current Opening
We are seeking compassionate and responsible caregivers who have experience assisting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Each individual is unique and job responsibilities vary according to the needs of the individuals we serve. Common responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal hygiene like bathing/showering, toileting, changing, and oral hygiene
- Transferring with or without mechanical lifts (e.g., Hoyer lift, Sara lift)
- Homemaking duties: meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, etc.
- Companionship
- Transportation
- Monitoring & documentation
- Other non-medical home care duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Ability, willingness, and experience partnering with individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to complete their care needs including assisting with hands-on care
- Certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and PMT (Physical/Psychological Management Training)
- Dependable - able to commit to your scheduled shifts and reliably get to and from your assignment
- Compassionate, flexible, and able to work with many differing abilities in a positive manner
- Openness to feedback and learning new approaches and techniques
- Professional and trustworthy
- Able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle that is in good condition
Additional Qualifications
- Age 18 years or older (age 21 or older if providing transportation)
- Able to legally work in the United States
- Satisfactory results of a national criminal background check and drug test
- Verifiable references
- Reliable transportation and backup transportation
Compensation
· $17.50/hour
· Eligible for quarterly bonuses and incentives
· Paid mileage
· Benefits package including health insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off (vacation time, sick time), vision and dental insurance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
