We're hiring for Part-Time Dining Room Servers!
  • 3:45pm-8pm.
  • Minimum 3 nights per week including weekend availability.

The Dining Room Server, Health Care Dining Server, or Bistro Server is the face of our hospitality venues and is responsible for our customers' experiences. Responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, serving food and beverages. You will need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. JOB SUMMARY: The Server serves meals to Plymouth Place residents in an atmosphere where the food service is restaurant-style. The Server strives to be efficient in service while being attentive to making an appetizing food presentation. The Server must maintain flexibility as assigned stations and duties before, during and after meal service. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee will apply skills to ensure Person-Centered Care as exhibited through our Pillars of Excellence:

  • Efficiently serve food and beverages to tables for restaurant-style service. Handles all service ware correctly.
  • Accurately provide information about the meal presented. This includes offering suggestions and/or answering questions upon request.
  • Observe diners to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when a meal has been completed by staying in an assigned area and circulating throughout the Dining Room.
  • Removes dishes both during and after the meal efficiently. This ensures sanitation standards are being met.
  • Wash and set-up tables according to rules of etiquette, including clean linen, silverware and glassware. In addition, checking the cleanliness of chairs and all condiments is mandatory.
  • Restock supplies as needed prior to the next meal service.
  • Employee is willing, and initiates, cross-training, specifically in the areas of host/hostess and serving. This will aid in the employee's growth and improve their skills to become a better-rounded employee.
  • Completes all side work, before, during and after meal service efficiently.
  • Clean and sanitize department storage, refrigeration/freezer, equipment, utensils, waste containers, etc. as assigned by the manager on duty and/or in compliance with the cleaning list.
  • Routinely checks and is aware of daily catering and participates in set-up, carry and clean-up.
  • Employee understands how to properly use the P.O.S. and is confident and efficient with charging their guests.
  • Deliver food to the residents ensuring a quality dining experience throughout the entire process.
  • Take down dining areas and clean tables, stock ingredients and monitor inventory levels.
  • Clean food stations and other areas as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
  • A High School Diploma is preferred, but not required. The minimum age requirement is 16 years old. 
  • Minimum one-year experience in a food server role, but not required. 
  • Strong communication skills required both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task with good organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment. 
  • Dependable, reliable and motivated.
