Position Summary: ZF Axle Drives Marysville, LLC., a tier one manufacturer for the automotive industry, has an immediate opening in their Marysville, MI plant for an Intern assigned to the Production department. This summer 2024 internship is a great opportunity for current students in pursuit of a degree.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage Production /Engineering information and compile into an easy-to-use, automatically updated format that can be used to capture Metrics, create graphs/charts and run day-to-day operations.
Take a project lead position to manage assigned projects to completion by gaining knowledge and reports from other ZF team members and systems.
Make suggestions on format, content display and system usage.
Conduct time studies to analyze work processes, identify inefficiencies, and improve productivity.
Take time to understand user needs and confer capability and options.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or Engineering
Strong computer skills
Good communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be a self-starter who can manage projects to completion with minimal supervision
Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, Excel, and Access

Required to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds. May frequently need to lift up to 10 pounds.
Required to frequently use gross manipulation, sit, stand, and walk.
Required to use fine manipulation continuously to type and write; and gross manipulation, firm hand gripping for various tasks.
This role exists in a fast-paced factory production area where situational awareness is imperative.
Required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, sit, bend, stoop, and use fine motor skills to affect equipment.
Must be able to communicate verbally and written with all levels of management and a unionized workforce.
Environmental exposures may include dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be in an office environment with frequent exposure to a manufacturing atmosphere.
