Job description

Velocity is a fast-paced company with an open-door environment looking to add an experienced Digital Signage Sales Engineer to our sales team.
The primary function of the Sales Engineer is to support the sales team in providing world-class Digital Signage solutions, assist in executing strategic deal opportunities, and match solutions to help meet customer needs.
This is a full-time remote salaried position.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The Sales Engineer works closely with sales team and prospective customers to provide subject-matter expertise in Velocity’s content management software, Digital Signage hardware, and managed services offerings.
  • Partner with Velocity project management team, other Velocity departments and third-party resources throughout the lifecycle of an account/project.
  • Assist with qualification of new leads and evaluate strategic business strategies.
  • Provide internal reporting through all phases of the pre-sales cycles.
  • Assist with sales quotes, RFP documentation, and scope of work contracts.
  • Maintain and nurture customer relationships through project sales cycle.
  • Determine customer requirements and overall solution functionalities via communication with sales and prospective customers.
  • Maintain awareness of new innovative technology offerings and market trends to ensure Velocity provides best in-class solutions to customer base. This includes maintaining relationships with new/prospective technology vendors.
  • Determine cost and service requirements for each project scope.
  • Provide sales and technology demonstrations to prospective customers. This includes Digital Signage hardware and content management software applications.
  • Prepare technical documentation and instructions.
  • Provide technical support to internal department stakeholders to ensure customer objectives are understood.
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Signage technical sales experience. Experience in SaaS a plus.
  • Current and/or previous experience in Digital Signage Sales and solution design for enterprise level technologies.
  • Strong technical background in Digital Signage and/or AV solution architecture required.
  • Digital signage content management software (CMS) required. Experience with HubSpot CRM a plus.
  • Experience with 3rd party system integration projects recommended.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM a plus.
  • Ability to explain complex solutions to non-technical members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint required.
  • Willingness to travel (20%) - This includes travel to customer sites, vendor offices, and industry trade shows.
