As a Digital Press Operator, you will operate a digital printing press (HP Ingigo15K) engaged in the production of printed products in a safe and efficient manner. This includes set-up and maintenance of the press. In addition, you will complete quality checks to ensure that the printed product meets all required specifications. In this position, you will also load ink and substrates into the press. You will be required to inventory supplies as needed and complete basic housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Run each job per provided specifications and log out when completed.
• Review job ticket to ensure job is set up per required specifications.
• While running the press, review printed material for quality consistency related to all job specifications. Print a sample to confirm accuracy.
• Communicate with Supervisor regarding any discrepancies with job ticket.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of the press.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

• At least four years of HP Indigo experience required, additional printing related production experience a plus.
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of the Digital printing workflow and equipment and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Must be able to evaluate and view color (not color blind).
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Schedule/Hours of Work:

• Day shift 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.
• Full time Position.
• Monday to Friday.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills including typical production/manufacturing software and ERP systems as well as print/production computers.
• Must be proactive and detail oriented to catch problems or inconsistencies and bring them to management’s attention.
• Good organization skills to manage multiple different tasks each day.
• Knowledge of press operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Should be mechanically inclined to grasp the basics of press operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventories for all supplies needed to operate press. Order necessary supplies through HP portal as needed.

Training Requirements:

• Attend a comprehensive 2-week training course in Atlanta to become proficient in operating the HP Indigo 15K.

Physical Demands:

• Constant lifting, standing, crouching, walking, and associated repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
• Warehouse temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
• Regular skin and clothing exposure to ink and imaging oil.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
