This is not a remote position. The hired candidate will be required to to report to our physical location in Allen, Tx.

Summary

We are looking for specific individuals that have a passion for sports media and desire to create new and exclusive content for the products we carry. Employees will follow marketing tactics to create content that increases visibility and engagement with a focus on growing the MonkeySports brand. Further, the content specialist will interact with customers on a daily basis through written articles, social media platforms, videos, product posting, and public events. These individuals will also be responsible in creating and writing in-depth descriptions of our products to enable the customer to make an informed buying decision.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• The Digital Merchandising Specialist will be responsible for creating, marketing, and tracking the engagement for all social media content across our companies social platforms.
• Will work hand-in-hand with content reports driven from SEO analytics to create content that conveys information and drives consumers to purchase the product.
• Will be responsible to test product for the purpose of writing detailed descriptions with elaborate information to help customers make an informative buying decision.
• Engage with customers on a regular basis by using social media platforms such as Instagram Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
• Create consistent written content about relevant and useful information regarding certain special or "hot" products, or regarding key topics surrounding the individual sport.
• View and monitor statistics behind the scenes.
• Evaluating new emerging media or technologies to make recommendations for product searching. Provide customers with several different channels to access our website pages, in-order, to purchase the product.
• Work with E-Commerce & Digital Marketing team to ensure content and product data and information is properly executed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Media experience and/or a bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism or a related field
• Must be able to work, in our Allen, TX office 40 hours a week.
• Must be able to work within a team setting to create/assist in the creation of content
• Must be willing to come up with new and engaging ways to showcase product and grow the MonkeySports brand
• Must be comfortable on camera and working with audio/video equipment
• Savvy with Social Media platforms from all devices. (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter)
• Must have intermediate level of Baseball, Lacrosse, or Hockey product offerings from all major vendors
• Local engagement of the sports community within the greater DFW area
• Must have complex problem solving skills
• Strong Reading and Writing comprehension
• Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite
• Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge, eBay and SidelineSwap knowledge is a plus

Pay Rate

• $18-$19 per hour, depending on experience
