Job description

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for implementing Digital Marketing efforts in support of established campaigns to drive brand awareness, generate and nurture leads, and optimize digital strategies. The role supports the Manager, Digital Marketing & Analytics to implement best practices for overall digital strategy and the creation of digital content.

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana; we are seeking candidates who currently reside in the central Indiana region; candidates must reside within a 70 mile range of Indianapolis. Our Central (Corporate) Office is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Position is a hybrid (a mix of remote & in-office, as well as travel). Hybrid schedule will be approximately 1 day in the office per month (and/or as necessary), the remainder remote & work travel.

The role will promote multiple brands through digital platforms, including HubSpot, WordPress, social media, Google Analytics, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and other digital platforms as needed.A Additionally, the individual has responsibility for marketing analytics to measure, analyze, report-out on, and suggest new tactics for achieving growth targets and driving maximum ROI of marketing campaigns and effectiveness.AA

ResponsibilitiesAAAAAAAAAA

  • Develops communications and email messaging within the marketing automation platform to support overall marketing campaigns for multiple brands, including event communications, nurture campaigns, drip campaigns, etc.
  • Creates and executes compelling marketing messages and digital campaigns to support the marketing funnel and lead management process from initial engagement through hand-off to the Business Development Team; remains proficient and confident in this process, adapting when necessary and supporting insight and tracking at any point in time.A
  • Responsible for lead entry process and marketing qualified lead process within HubSpot to determine lead interest and qualify leads for further engagement and commercial hand-off.
  • Responsible for social media engagement of multiple brands through paid posts, organic post creation, cultivated content, and thought leadership.
  • Maintains website content for multiple brands and manages a quarterly content review process to ensure website content is fresh and relevant.
  • Monitors web analytics and paid Digital Marketing efforts.
  • Develops landing pages and other digital components, such as digital graphics and ads, for paid digital advertising efforts.
  • Responsible for the management of SEO for multiple brands and ensuring keywords are relevant for the business.
  • Creates all communications and manages content related to Digital Marketing, including email copy, social media copy and web copy, in partnership with product marketing managers and other team members.
  • Responsible for web analytics, campaign analytics, SEO, social, paid search, and email.
  • Conducts ongoing content, keyword, and URL audits to improve user and search engine relevancy of key pages.AA
  • In partnership with the marketing team, maintains a constant understanding of target audience(s), segmentation strategy and applies marketing techniques/strategies to incite specific, defined responses from intended target audience(s).A
  • In partnership with the Manager, Digital Marketing and Analytics, supports training on marketing initiatives for key commercial stakeholders (i.e. Product Marketing, Client Services, Business Development, Product Management, Leadership, etc.).
  • Works with team to support in-person and virtual events and creates and manages follow-up communications to leads obtained through events.A
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and privacy policies, including reporting.A
  • Partners closely with key commercial stakeholders and marketing team to conduct targeting and segmentation exercises for lead generation and marketing initiatives.
  • Partners with the Manager, Communications and Creative Services to make necessary web updates to the internal associate portal.
  • Cross-trained on the internal portal/internal communications.
  • Support the development of content for the internal portal and other associate communication efforts as assigned.
  • Support the development of client-facing communications, as assigned.
  • Responsible for the response and completion of Service Now requests related to marketing activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing, marketing and communications, product marketing and/or sales operations.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, preferably Hubspot.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills are required.
  • Skilled at developing, executing, reporting on, and evaluating Digital Marketing efforts using marketing automation and/or CRM tools, including communication plans and Digital Marketing/advertising efforts.
  • Experience developing communication plans, such as nurture or drip campaigns, as well as managing data within a marketing automation platform and/or CRM.
  • Experience using web content management systems, preferably WordPress.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or other digital analytics platforms.
  • A self-starter who demonstrates and is comfortable taking initiative and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Proven capability to collaborate cross-functionally and work with all clients to meet company objectives and ensure high level of client satisfaction.A
  • Familiarity and comfort functioning in a matrixed organizational environment and the ability to work successfully cross-functionally.
  • Ability to think strategically and participate actively in decision analysis.
  • Strong project management skills including effective communication and driving for results.
  • Experience providing content recommendations and guidance for digital campaigns in collaboration with either internal or external teams.
  • Experience with account and persona-based marketing programs incorporating tactics that include contact acquisition, email, direct mail, events, webinars, Digital Marketing and organic/paid social media efforts.
  • Advanced user of common business applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • A/P Style/editorial background preferred.
