Hourly Rate Range: $15 - $20 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Digital Marketing Intern who wants to jumpstart their career and learn from an amazing team of marketing and sales professionals. You will be included in the marketing team's day-to-day activities and sit through each phase of development, from brainstorming campaign ideas to developing marketing materials and events. Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, you will assist with researching customer and competitive data, social media outreach, SEO, and performing some administrative work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with social media content and campaigns, website updates, and digital outreach.
- Help grow social media engagement/reach, website traffic, and brand awareness.
- Improve SEO results and data-gathering methods.
- Create and maintain tracking reports of digital and traditional marketing efforts.
- Seek and analyze competitor marketing material and digital content.
- Develop new social media campaigns, considering current and planned promotional activities.
- Assist in planning and staffing of trade shows and speaking engagements.
- Assist in planning employee engagement initiatives.
- Use knowledge relating to the marketing field to suggest improvements to processes.
- Provide administrative support to staff, when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications + Required Skills:
Preferred candidates will be a currently enrolled college undergraduate, graduate student, or recent university graduate with academic focus/experience in a degree program related to the field of Digital Marketing, web design, communications, business, public relations, public affairs, or a related discipline. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Knowledge of, or can readily learn, various software applications including Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Salesforce Account Engagement, Squarespace, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with professionals of all ages.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
- Strong work ethic and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of business social media best practices and platforms.
- Data entry and computer skills necessary.
