At Pilot Capital we are on a mission to make real estate investing simple and attainable. We are focused on the acquisition and management of multifamily buildings across the United States, to provide valuable alternative investment opportunities to our network.
We are looking for an energetic, hardworking individual with a passion for investment real estate to join our Seattle team to drive lead generation, e-marketing, and copywriting. The ideal candidate will maintain a pulse on culture within our industry and create engaging content on LinkedIn and beyond to grow our online investor network and email subscribers, ultimately driving conversion toward active investors in our deals. Our goal is to add 1,500+ quality email subscribers by the end of 2024, and 10,000+ within five years.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills
- Ability to work at least two days per week in-person in our Seattle office
- Post-secondary education in marketing, journalism, communications, or related discipline
- Proven track record of at least two years in a Digital Marketing role with a focus on lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement
- Proficiency in social media marketing and content creation, especially LinkedIn, and guiding others to build their social media presence
- Creative thinker with a growth mindset, and always ready to adapt and innovate with new tools, concepts, platforms, and processes
- Strong verbal and written communicator, with experience in persuasive email composition and outreach
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment to meet prioritize and meet deadlines
- Operates with a sense of urgency, is proactive, and takes initiative
- Strong analytical skills that allow you to advocate for data driven action through testing of content types, email templates, and promotional tactics
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with outreach or automation tools such as ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, and SalesMessage
- Design and web development expertise in Adobe CS, WordPress, and Canva
- Audio and video production and editing experience
- Strong knowledge of SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and digital advertising best practices and tools
Responsibilities/Duties
First and foremost, this position will be responsible for driving lead generation and bringing our brand personality to life through engaging content that informs, educates, and compels action. The top two priorities are to grow our email list with quality contacts interested in investing in real estate and to convert subscribers into investors in our deals.
This position will manage projects independently and have the ability to both contribute on an individual level as well as manage the work of vendors and other staff as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Own the copy creation process, from ideation to production (including ghost writing for principals), with a focus on high-converting, value-driven, and engaging content.
- Create, execute, and optimize brand awareness and lead generation campaigns in both organic (social, SEO) and performance marketing channels (paid social, email, online video, podcasts).
- Grow and cultivate our investor network with effective strategies for growth and enhanced engagement.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns across various platforms (with a focus on LinkedIn) for the company and leadership, including monitoring and reporting on analytics to identify trends, optimize content, and measure performance.
- Lead marketing automation and sales funnel efforts, including drip campaigns in ActiveCampaign, to effectively reach and acquire new users and nurture existing clients.
- Serve as a brand steward and integrate the voice of Pilot Capital voice in all communication and across all touchpoints in the customer journey.
- Assist with website and SEO optimization to improve website visibility, organic search rankings, and user experience.
- Research industry trends and topics to generate relevant and engaging blog posts.
- Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers of the brand’s consumer through data and research to build data-driven solutions to tailor campaigns.
- Proactively develop strong client and partner relationships, seeking out and facilitating new ways to promote our brand and services and build relationships.
- Develop, host, and support virtual and in-person social and community education events.
- Lead and manage our testimonial program and investor story curation process.
- Conduct ongoing audits and reporting to leadership about performance across platforms to track growth, and develop recommendations for adjustment of resources and goals based on findings.
- Provide quality control for all marketing deliverables (proofreading, style guide, production management, etc.)
- Advise on and collaborate with the planning of digital and in-person functions and events.
- Oversee and coordinate with designers, video producers, and others to create visually appealing content.
- Lead and provide guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with Digital Marketing trends, tools, and marketing methods and incorporate them into the division's marketing strategies.
- Ensure appropriate understanding of market challenges, success factors, and priorities to inform all strategic marketing efforts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $67,800 – $98,500

Additional Information
- This position is full-time and generally requires weekday availability. The position may require evening and weekend availability to support company functions.
- This position requires a minimum of two days per week in-office (Tuesdays + one additional day).
- Candidates should be located within a reasonable distance of our Seattle office. Relocation assistance is not available.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the US. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
