Position Summary:
The Digital & IT Analyst is responsible for designing, planning, installing and supporting the global compute, storage, backup and Disaster Recovery infrastructure solutions for Parker Hannifin's Engineered Materials Group in both regional datacenters and individual facilities. Leadership skills, project management skills and deep technical skills will be paramount to success as this forward-thinking individual will work with various technical and non-technical groups to drive global projects to completion. This position is located in Cary, NC with 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home schedule.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Become a key member of the team responsible for the planning, implementation, support and maintenance of infrastructure solutions specific to compute, storage, backup, and Disaster Recovery.
- Daily environmental health monitoring, proactively remediating any identified issues.
- Resolution of reported incidents and fulfillment of requests pertaining to the compute infrastructure.
- Implement changes utilizing ITIL based change management procedures.
- Assist with the automation and instrumentation of daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on infrastructure hardware end points to ensure optimal performance.
- Build pre-defined technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
- Assist in replacing compute/storage infrastructure in key EMG locations with Parker Hannifin corporate guidelines and standards.
- Assist in defining, testing and deploying a Disaster Recovery solution for all critical EMG applications that is consistent with Parker Hannifin corporate guidelines and standards.
- Assist in evaluating and documenting current policies and practices against Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements. Conduct remediation activities when necessary to ensure compliance is attained and maintained.
- Create concise and accurate technical documentation.
- Manage multiple small and medium initiatives simultaneously.
- Liaise with internal team to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder involvement.
- Periodic on-call support for after-hours and weekends.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computing Sciences, Information System or related areas.
- 3-5 years of strong experience in VMware, Nutanix AHV, Dell Apex VxRail, or Microsoft Hypervisor virtualization.
- Comprehensive background in managing Windows servers in an enterprise environment - Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 and Active Directory.
- Practical experience with cloud based compute solutions such as Azure.
- Experience in deploying MS SQL
- Practical Linux experience.
- Experience in backup technologies such as Commvault, Symantec NetBackup, Rubrik, VEEM, or Cloud Backup technologies (Azure).
- Experience planning and implementing Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with server monitoring solutions.
- Solid understanding of Network layers.
- 3-5 years of strong experience developing PowerShell scripts.
- Comfortable working in a geographically diverse team.
- ITIL Foundations or Intermediate level certification strong preferred.
- ServiceNow experience is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
