Digital Content Manager, Hybrid

The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring a Digital Content Manager. They will be responsible for overseeing and managing the content creation that appears across networks, websites, apps, and platforms. Operates as the liaison to our partners, consolidating and delivering AVOD/SVOD metadata, ensuring content is received and properly displayed on service. In addition, monitoring day to day execution of site content, editing and proofreading material, keeping the content on all networks up to date, informative and appealing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Supervise and oversee daily operations of Digital Content staff
• Manage content calendar - long and short-term scheduling of content across all digital platforms
• Serve as editor-in-chief for all content to ensure quality, clarity, and consistency
• Collaborate with marketing and development teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
• Follow-up proactively with marketing and creative teams for assets required to meet deadlines
• Prepare and deliver AVOD/SVOD metadata to partners
• Maintain and update affiliating sites
• Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
• Monitor execution of Digital Content across channels
• Be in constant communication with Sales Department to coordinate and complete digital promotional concepts
• Oversee database administration updating online television schedules
• Repurpose content for different mediums including video and social media

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years experience in related content management or production preferred
• Supervisory skills preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Experience in content production
• Good understanding of responsive design with experience on Mobile and Desktop
• Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing
• Experience working with content management systems
• (Wordpress, Brightcove, MySQL etc.), and should also be knowledgeable in Microsoft applications, Adobe Creative suite a plus.
• Familiarity of web service api's for providing data feeds to apps (xml, json, etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
• Ability to manage people
