HDR is currently seeking a Digital Content Application Development Lead to join our Resources Business Group.
Primary Responsibilities
The right candidate will work as part of the RBG Professional Services organization to advance digital design initiatives and contribute to the development, adoption, and implementation of advanced tool platforms in support of HDR design groups. The position includes focused coordination with HDR's corporate cross sectors, design services groups, and production centers. Primary duties will include creating, coordinating, and organizing digital templates, 3D component libraries, and standard details while building applications to make them more accessible for the Resources Business Group and associated Market Sectors (i.e. Power, Waste, and Industrial). Duties will include model management and model health initiatives and furthering RBG's acceptance of 3D design and digital delivery methods.
The RBG Digital Content Application Development Lead (CADL) will work closely with the RBG Digital Design and Delivery Lead (DDL) on integration efforts relating to BIM content and will support the overall vision and initiatives of the RBG core team concepts related to digital design and production. Additional job responsibilities include assisting plan, develop, and maintain BIM content; deployment and/or creation of design tools, CAD/BIM interfaces, scripts, and technical instructions; and technology/workflow awareness outreach activities. Additionally, the RBG DDDS will work directly with the RBG DDL and RBG Model Managers to maintain content libraries inclusive of all disciplines and business groups with assistance from internal expertise as a primary responsibility.
- Support the RBG DDL with assessing Digital Content related needs.
- Create parametric content and related workflows for project use
- Provide technical expertise to aid in the development of content strategies
- Assist teams in applying content management strategies
- Develop and/or implement automation strategies for repetitive tasks
- Capture and review project-developed content for addition to HDR standard libraries
- Stay informed of the latest industry trends regarding content creation and management
- Improve consistency and quality of both existing and new content
- Work with RBG DDL to develop and administer a content approval process and consult with HDR areas and collect content that has proven effective in a project environment that can be vetted and redistributed to across the organization
- Work collaboratively with other digital design leaders in other groups
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or technical school degree or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- Must possess computer programming skills
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of industry standards and practices in the areas of CADD and engineering documentation and plan presentation
- Works cooperatively with company, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on related efforts
- Committed to HDR's quality and safety goals, processes, and procedures
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related Revit Add-Ins, workflows, and associated software
- Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D and Civil 3D
- Familiarity with UNIFI and other content management platform and strategies
- Familiarity with document management platforms such as ProjectWise and Newforma
- Familiarity with Autodesk products: BIM 360, ACC, Navisworks, and InfraWorks
- Familiarity with Dynamo
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript
- Awareness of Autodesk 3ds Max, Twinmotion, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Power BI, and databases
- Familiarity with Bentley products is a plus

- California will be $79,772 - $134,680 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
- Colorado will be $79,772 - $113,960 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
- New York will be $72,520 - $129,500 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
- Washington will be $76,146 - $119,140 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
