GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Content Strategist serves as the technical subject matter expert for all things Sitecore. Responsible for the technical aspect of all content management within Golden 1's digital channels. Uses technical SEO strategy to optimize content, maximize search rankings, and analyze user engagement. Checks for ADA compliance and works closely with the other team members to maintain site standards. Responsible for web content publishing, rates updates, branch/ATM locator management, etc. Keeper of the web component library and picks the appropriate interface elements to use for website update requests. Serves as the liaison between MarTech and other lines of business across all projects involving the management of digital content and content publishing workflows. As a member of the UX Team, represents Digital Services and collaborates with stakeholders in the continuous evolution of digital capabilities to better serve the needs of our members and visitors.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as the resident Sitecore Technical Content management subject matter expert.
- Participates in, and leads, when appropriate, the process of creation, architecture, and maintenance of website content in close collaboration with the UX/UI, Martech and other teams.
- Knowledgeable in front-end web content rules and best practices to ascertain ADA compliance: ARIA roles, labels, proper ALT-tags, semantics, etc.
- As the subject matter expert, applies Technical SEO to ensure mobile-friendliness, good website/page load speed, and search ranking. Reviews page meta tags and edits appropriately.
- Creates new web pages in Sitecore using existing templates and components. Reviews HTML rendered and makes corrections to ensure clean code
- Responsible for the online rates publishing and management processes, as well as workflows for the member-facing digital properties; participates in the same for portal sites across the organization, as needed.
- Highly organized and adept in file naming and structuring web assets within the CMS.
- Participates in requirements gathering process for digital content projects.
- Coordinates operational digital content projects across teams and departments.
- Oversees CMS training and support for lines of business, as needed.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
- Write traditional documentation, provide code samples, videos, slides, or any other media to effectively articulate UX requirements or requests to developers.
- Creates proper reporting and presents findings and recommendations to various audiences.
- Knows web languages, can write and spot-check code and make corrections
- Learns complex technologies quickly; keeps current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Continually keeps up to date with the latest changes in industry's standards and the relevant platform evolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to evaluate staff, prepare, and present recommendations, perform analysis, and accomplish other managerial functions as required.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine, and telephone.

- INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
- EXTERNAL: Vendors, management, other financial institutions and other contact centers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in management of information systems, marketing, communications and/or comparable experience.
- EXPERIENCE: Three years or more of demonstrated effective digital content management using Sitecore CMS or another enterprise-grade CMS, digital instructional content creation, CMS management and implementation.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Advanced working knowledge of Sitecore, or similar enterprise-grade CMS.
- Intermediate-level skills with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript, etc., frameworks such as Bootstrap, and use of industry-standard design and prototyping tools within Adobe CC, Microsoft, etc.
- Superb interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams throughout the organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with people of all technical levels and ability to interpret technical language into business language and vice versa.
- Demonstrated ability in utilizing Golden 1's new and existing technologies, taking advantage of such to digitize processes for the team and LOBs.
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions in the best interest of the credit union.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Recognized UX certification, e.g. Nielsen's UX Master or from an accredited university.
