General Summary of Position
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized nutrition care to patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving patients' overall well-being and helping them manage various medical conditions.

Primary Duties:
• Conducts assessments for patients to establish diet and food guidelines.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with patients medical needs, goals and objectives.
• Assigned Critical Care Units and General Medicine Floors. Must be flexible to cross-train to Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU. Work closely with Food Service team to assure conformance to diet prescriptions.
• Performs at least one annual formal professional presentation in the area of specialty to medical or allied health professionals.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree M.S. degree in food and nutrition with approved training from the American Dietetic Association required
• 5-7 years Progressive clinical nutrition experience required
• 3-4 years Clinical nutrition experience required
CDE - Certified Diabetes Educator Certification or CNSD - Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian/Clinician required
Licensed in District of Columbia required or eligible to apply for DC licensure required
