At any given time, as many as 90 people call the Long Term and Transitional Care Center their home. Our care center is connected to a Mayo clinic and hospital, so residents don't have to leave the building for a clinic appointment or emergency care if needed. Responsibilities/Job Description:
We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant for Lake City Care Center (transitional care and long term care units). This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents-patients and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our care community in Lake City, MN!
This food services aide position includes;
- On-call/casual
- Evening shift
- Must pick up three shifts a month; one being a weekend shift

- Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
- Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction with their meal service
- Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies
- Assists with meal prep and special events
- Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors
- Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately
- No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting
- Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
