Form of workAmerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician! The Diesel Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections on Class 8 Tractors and Trailers.
Compensation: Pay: $30 - $35 per hour depending on experience. Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 2pm – 10:30pm

What the Diesel Technician role looks like:
· Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles
· Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
· Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
· Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentation
What our ideal candidate looks like:
· Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Diesel Technician performing vehicle repair and maintenance on Volvo, Freightliners, Peterbilt’s, Hostler/Yard trucks/Switchers
· Experience with DOT inspections required, health card preferred
· Trailer experience required
· Strong in diagnostics, after treatment, & ERG Systems
· Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills
· Must have own tools
· Must have valid driver's license
