Die And Press Operator

Job Description:

As a Die Assembly and Shop Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Disassembling and cleaning incoming dies.
• Expertly assembling repaired dies using hydraulic press equipment.
• Safely lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high platform.
• Performing general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop.
• Making local deliveries utilizing company vehicles.
• Ensuring a safe and orderly work environment.
• Adhering strictly to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
• Demonstrating proficiency in using an array of hand tools.
• Thoroughly cleaning the work area at the end of each shift.
• Fulfilling any other assignments as directed.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanical inclination and a keen eye for detail.
• The ability to interpret tool and die blueprints accurately.
• Being 18 years of age or older.
• A valid Driver’s License to facilitate travel between plants as required.
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and substance screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

• Certification or Associate Degree in Manufacturing.
• Previous experience in a similar role.

Physical Demands:

This position requires:

• Punctuality and excellent attendance.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and continuous lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds from the floor to an average waist-high platform.
• Proficiency in utilizing various hand tools and instruments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
