Social Science Teacher - 0.4 FTE
Qualifications:
- State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior HS endorsement in Social Science.
- Academically prepared to teach multiple courses in the Social Sciences, especially Human Geography, Psychology, World History and United States History.
- Demonstrated success with struggling learners.
- Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods & practices to meet individual student needs.
- Ability to teach courses at various academic levels.
- Willingness to participate in course-alike, cross-curricular and vertical teams.
- Willingness to support building co-curricular activities as a coach or sponsor.
- Commitment to working with an interdisciplinary or integrated team: designing, implementing, and refining curriculum.
- Commitment to working with a coordinated curriculum that targets external assessment in the design and delivery of its content.
- Possess and continue to develop technology skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold an LBS 1 Special Education endorsement.
