Key Responsibilities
- Concepts for diagnostic, visualization and remote communication systems as well as specification, coding and testing of the software
- Develop network and firewall configurations for railway vehicles
- Collaboration in the development of new network strategies
- Initial commissioning, validation and maintenance of the systems
- Cooperation in the extension of the systems
- Create system and customer documentation
- User training and support
- Collaborate with suppliers and Certification Authorities in an international environment
- Interpret and incorporate local and federal as well as customer requirements into system design
- Ensure compliance to customer requirements, considering applicable standards, laws and national requirements
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent
- Level-I (0-2), II (2-5), III (5-8), IV (8-10) or Sr. (10+) years of related experience in areas such as in railway, defense, aerospace or equal
- Experience in programming with JAVA and knowledge of Linux, experience with C / C++ is a plus
- Experienced in various network and communication technologies (e.g. VPN, VLAN, XML-RPC etc.)
- Experience in implementing appealing graphical user interfaces
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork skills
- Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Willingness to relocate to Salt Lake City
- Structured working habits in order to manage integration of multiple projects, conduct testing and prepare all deliverables associated within the system
