This role will be hybrid in our American Fork, UT office (1-2 days per week). Job Summary
As a Software Engineer with Henry Schein One, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow your career while contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of APIs that power our products and services. You will work closely with experienced engineers and receive mentorship to enhance your skills and make a meaningful impact on our projects.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs
- Write clean, well-structured code following best practices and coding standards
- Write unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of APIs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot root causes of bugs and failures
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy APIs to production environments
- Participate in code reviews
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
- Travel typically less than 10%. No special physical demands required.

Qualifications
What You Will Have
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent working experience
- 1 - 3 years of software development experience in NodeJS
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in Agile Scrum software development lifecycle
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Eagerness to learn, grow and take on new challenges
- Experience with monetized APIs
- Experience with Sequelize
- Knowledge of API design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Knowledge of security concepts / protocols and implementing them in APIs
The posted range for this position is $66,000 - $88,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 7.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
