DevSecOps Engineer
Overview
CTG's Melbourne Office specializes in developing software for warehouse management systems, with our largest client being a major US food and beverage manufacturer. This is a full-time-salaried position. Our work culture provides autonomy, a place to learn and grow, and work with people you like. We offer a great deal of flexibility, but the position is not remote.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the DevSecOps Engineer is to stand up Azure and local server based DevSecOps projects and teach teams how to be self-sufficient in managing their environment when they create new features. With new customer projects coming on a regular basis, the role is to define the DevSecOps standards, configure greenfield projects, teach the build team representatives how to maintain various build and test solutions, and work with other business units to create Corp standards for DevSecOps. The DevSecOps engineer will lead the DevSecOps guild improving the knowledge of every team that develops software with the Melbourne Delivery Center.

The DevSecOps Engineer will:
Have a deep technical understanding of the following environments:
o Azure DevOps
o AWS DevOps
o Local Server DevOps
Have a deep understanding of the following technologies
o Containerization - Kubernetes, Docker, and the services to manage them
o Build systems - Jenkins, Azure, and AWS Pipelines,
o SCA, SAST, DAST tools and how to apply them in a DevSecOps environment
o Platform management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm
Work independently and in teams with minimal supervision
A strong background in software development is desired including:
o Python scripting, C#, Java, and C/C++ development
A deep understanding of Linux and Windows is required
Enjoy finding the root cause and solving challenging problems
Must have a willing and desire to teach and share your knowledge
Self-driven to continue learning new concepts, software systems, tools and technology
Desired Qualifications
A BS in computer engineering or computer science
Several years' experience (6-8+) as a Software and/or DevSecOps Engineer
An understanding of Lean production techniques as they apply to software development
