InGenesis is seeking a Development Specialist to work with our client. In this role, you will support the Development Department by researching opportunities, and writing, and submitting program-related grants and reports. Your efforts will be focused on researching and writing corporate, foundation, and government grant proposals.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Fund Development Manager, identifies funding needs by analyzing the structure of programs, service delivery, and funding. Enhances program and service growth opportunities for the organization through grant funding.
- Writes letters of intent and corporate, foundation, and government grant proposals; prepares supporting documents in response to requests for proposals; adapts existing proposals as necessary; and delivers all submissions ahead of deadlines.
- Maintains up-to-date agency files and grants database for the tracking of grant renewals, deadlines, and execution. Uses grants database to inform the agency of grant status, both informally and via management reporting documents.
- In conjunction with program and support staff, maintain accuracy, uniformity, and consistent messaging in electronic filing and submission of all grant documents.
- Reviews and maintains overall quality and accuracy of all assigned grant contract documents.
- Collaborates with the Fund Development Manager to write monthly status/progress reports for the Executive Management Team.
- Utilizes available research tools to identify current and prospective government, foundation, and corporate grant funding opportunities, and makes recommendations regarding potential funders,
- Collaborates with the Fund Development Manager to maintain a comprehensive inventory of renewable and new funding opportunities in line with the development plan.
- Assist the development department with fundraising activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
- High proficiency in MS Office Products and proven exceptional grant writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct grant development experience planning, coordinating and managing grant-funded program(s) in a non-profit organization.
- Grant writing experience, including federal grants.
- Experience with budget development and/or management.
- Understanding of Policy Information Notice 98-23: Health Center Program Expectations.
- Multi-lingual/multi-cultural a plus
Physical Demands:
- Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal office environment; regular bending and stretching; and lifting.
- Manual dexterity used to include, but not limited to, standard office equipment, and computer keyboard.
- Reading and writing in order to review records for accuracy.
- Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Math aptitude for account balancing, analyzing, and problem solving.
This position is dependent on contract award.
