About the Role:
EOHHS is seeking a Development Operations (DevOps) Technical Supervisorto join the Development Operations team. The DevOps Technical Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising the DevOps staff, while remaining involved with technical DevOps tasks and processes. The incumbent will manage cloud-based infrastructure and collaborate with other teams to ensure coordination of product releases. This role will report to the Development Operations Business Integration Manager, and liaise between them and the DevOps staff.
The primary work location for this role will be at 100 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts 02171. Schedules are subject to change based on the operational needs of the business. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
This position will be expected to follow a hybrid work model that combines in-office workdays and work from home days, as needed, and may be expected to perform after-hours support as authorized and required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision to the DevOps team
  • Perform and oversee UAT testing
  • Work with the DevOps Business Integration Manager to develop and maintain workflows in the PERU operation environment
  • Analyze user requirements and develop hardware/software solutions to meet those requirements
  • Test and debug hardware/software elements to improve functionality and performance
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and incorporating them into the EOHHS infrastructure development projects as appropriate
  • Document hardware/software components with the EOHHS environment, including writing user manuals, technical specifications, and other documentation
  • Provide technical support to users and addressing their concerns or questions about software applications
  • Follow best practices in EOHHS infrastructure development, such as version control, code reviews, and unit testing
  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure required to support product development and delivery
  • Automate the product delivery process, including continuous integration, testing, and deployment
  • Create and maintain tools for monitoring and logging application performance and availability
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure coordination of product releases and meeting of business requirements
  • Work with EOHHS stakeholders to ensure that the product is designed with operational concerns in mind, such as scalability and reliability
  • Collaborate with other Secretariats, Agencies, teams, and stakeholders to ensure that product components meet business and user needs
  • Troubleshoot issues with software and infrastructure; implement fixes and improvements as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
  • Manage cloud-based infrastructure, including the deployment and maintenance of cloud services
  • Maintain and improve DevOps processes and practices; identify areas for improvement
  • Document processes and procedures related to DevOps activities
  • Define ticket escalation to assist operations staff
  • Take part in continued training on operations technologies; assist in training for operations staff

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Three (3) years of experience in DevOps, software quality control, assurance, testing, packaging, or equivalent experience in a DevOps environment
  • Experience and familiarity with providing staff and technical supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in UAT testing
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of Azure, Intune, SCCM, and Active Directory
  • Proven experience conducting hardware and software product analysis
  • Working knowledge of virtual and physical environments such as Hyper-V, vSphere, Windows 10/11
  • Ability to understand workflows and processes relevant to the environment
  • Methodical and able to follow documented procedures and instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret problems, identify resolutions, and recommend changes in trainings and operating procedures
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to effectively delegate and multi-task
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines governing all EOHHS activities
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to present and communicate both verbally and written with peers and management while representing the business in a professional manner
  • Ability to collaboratively work and communicate with technical and non-technical staff, as well as upper management
  • Proven conflict management and managerial skills, including but not limited to decision-making and negotiation skills

Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
