MCAP is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing legal advocacy and mentorship to abused and neglected children in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to end and prevent child abuse and neglect in Montgomery County through legal services, advocacy and education. Established in 2004, MCAP offers children the ability to heal form horrific abuses with the help of pro bono specially trained lawyers. Located in Norristown, Pennsylvania, MCAP continues to grow serving more and more children each year and offers the community educational resources. Responsibilities
- Strengthen fund-raising by creating a comprehensive development plan. The comprehensive plan will include the annual appeal campaign, direct appeals, special events, donor development and planned giving;
- Implement the development plan with an emphasis on donor development, recurring gifts and revenue diversity;
- Research and identify grant opportunities; grant-writing and reporting;
- Ensure the improvement and maintenance of the donor database;
- Research and develop quality fund-raising and friend-raising activities that are consistent with MCAP’s philosophical guidelines. Coordinate the special events;
- Work with the Executive Director and marketing consultant to establish a cohesive education/awareness campaign for the community to raise awareness and funds.
Qualifications
- Five years minimum experience in professional fundraising;
- Bachelors’ degree from an accredited program in development, communications or marketing;
- Mastery of grantsmanship, annual fund, special events, donor stewardship and major gifts;
- Experience in program/endowment campaigns and planned giving;
- Computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, Publisher;
- Must be able to work independently and as a team-player.
