Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Associate works closely with the Institutional Giving Team (Chief Development Officer, Director of Institutional Giving, and Development Consultants) to plan and implement overall fundraising strategy for foundation and corporate giving. The Associate is responsible for development department support and administrative duties including maintenance of donor files and donor database. The Associate researches grant opportunities, assists with writing Letters of Intent and with assembling grant proposals, assists with writing reports to funders, manages schedules and appointments, and coordinates meeting materials as needed. The Associate handles correspondence, maintains files, and serves as a liaison to the executive office and board members. The Associate will support activities such as special events, community relation activities, newsletter, and the annual report as needed. The Associate engages in details of a confidential and critical nature and conducts themselves with the highest degree of dignity, professionalism, and interpersonal effectiveness while exercising sound judgment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- BA/BS degree required
- Masters Degree preferred
- Experience in the health care field preferred
- Experience writing grant proposals and funding reports preferred but not required

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists patients in completing applications and forms for private and Med-Cal, as well as other County or State health insurance programs.
- Attends champ Net training for Medi-Cal updates, and all other applicable trainings as directed by supervisor.
- Attends meetings as required for updates and as directed by supervisor.
- Completes production reports, Med-Cal reports, Communication Sheets, PCP changes and tracking, and all other applicable reports.
- Coordinates with all state and county programs in an efficient manner
