The Rose Andom Center is a survivor centered, trauma informed collaborative that cultivates hope for individuals and families impacted by intimate partner abuse. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our team. As a Development Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fundraising efforts of our organization. Job Summary: The Development Associate works under the supervision of the Development Director, to provide support in carrying out the fundraising initiatives for the Rose Andom Center, including the communications and marketing strategies to ensure the community and donors are informed about the mission and services of the Rose Andom Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission, a learning mindset, and an eye toward detail.
Areas of Responsibility include:
Development Systems Support
- Work with the Development Director to update and maintain donor and grant records to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Process check, cash, in-kind and credit card donations.
- Produce donation reports in collaboration with the Finance and Development teams.
- Produce and update grant deadline reports and calendar.
- Generate revenue and donation reports in our CRM.
- Work with the Executive and Development Director to keep donor records updated, collect, and enter new contacts/prospects into CRM.
- Conduct prospect research as needed, assemble materials for cultivation and solicitation visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Donor Relations and Stewardship
- Responsible for proofing, reviewing, personalizing, and mailing donor acknowledgment letters.
- Assist with donor correspondence (phone, email, direct mail) and document all relevant information in CRM.
- Assist in engagement and stewardship of annual fund donors.
- In collaboration with the Development Director customize and implement the overall donor stewardship strategy and engagement initiatives.
Communications Support
- Work with Development Director in the creation and production of monthly e-news, social media content and other marketing and development materials.
- Coordinate with Management Team to update communications calendar.
- Monitor website content and assist in development related updates as needed.
- Coordinate with Management Team to produce and distribute annual report.
Event Support
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special fundraising events, including auction item acquisition process; event correspondence and promotion; event registration, check in/out and donor acknowledgement.
- Collaborate with Volunteer & Outreach Program Manager to assign volunteers to development and event specific jobs and responsibilities as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of in-kind gift related plans/events (such as holiday event, YPC donation drives, etc.); coordinate with Volunteer & Outreach Program Manager as needed.
Job Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in comparable field.
· At least 2 years’ relevant work experience.
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Experience working with volunteers, non-profit and/or community-based organizations strongly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and Outlook.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management software preferred.
· Experience in integrated marketing and communications environment (including website, newsletter, social media, newsletter communications).
- Demonstrated writing and communications skills.
· Strong attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and prioritize accordingly.
· Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
· Successful completion of a criminal background check.
· COVID vaccination required of all Rose Andom Center employees. Medical or religious exemptions will be considered.
