Development Assistant
Position Summary:

Holly Hill is seeking an individual to assist with administrative, development, and other marketing-related projects and tasks for residential and outpatient behavioral health services.
The selected candidate will assist with organizational areas of the Marketing and Development Process as well as Administrative and agency-wide needs.
Specifically, we are seeking a Development Assistant to join our growing team. This role administrators to complete development projects for our residential and outpatient behavioral health services. The selected candidate will help organize and administer fundraising efforts and events, maintain relationships with clients and donors, maintain our donor databases, monitor volunteer calendars, prepare reports, track project expenses, coordinate project teams, organize meetings, data entry work, assist in managing Holly Hill website and assist in grant research and tracking.
Essential Job Function:
  • Organize and assist with fundraising efforts, events, and strategies
  • Maintain donor databases, data entry, website, and social media
  • Record donations on an ongoing basis in the donor database, and generate acknowledgments and thank you letters
  • Maintain relationships with donors, clients, and other stateholders
  • Track project details and expenses
  • Assist with the implementation of various Development plans including annual appeals, major donors, grants, corporate and individual appeals, social media, research, tracking, etc.
  • Attend networking events with the Development team to increase professional network, refine relationship management skills, and enhance Holly Hill’s outreach and capacity.
  • Provide clerical, administrative and operational support, including the preparation of reports, filing, copying, sorting, mailing, etc.
  • Work with committees and Development team in establishing and adhering to event budgets, assist with event preparation and attend events to assist in set up, implementation, and bump-out
Education:
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited educational institution
Experience & Skills:
  • Identifies, develops, and fosters meaningful relationships with individuals and corporations from all walks of life and in various environments.
  • Relationship-driven community development professional.
  • Ability to network in the community and identify individual and corporate major gift prospects.
  • Persuasive presenter. Tells compelling stories that appeal to donors on an emotional level and illustrates how the donor can help make a difference.
  • Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills. Creative, self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekends.
  • Provide a positive professional example.
  • Enthusiastic about serving the youth and families in the Greater Cincinnati area.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and with the end result in mind.
  • Critical thinker. Creates a revised, positive direction and motivates others when things do not go according to plan.
  • Creative and futuristic. Thinks outside of the box and embraces contemporary approaches to grow the organization.
  • Operates with a high level of attention to detail. Organized and proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Versatile and innovative. Goes beyond accepted ideas to create original approaches.
Working Conditions:
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have liability insurance. Must be able to use personal or company vehicle for work as needed. Travel may be expected for trainings related to the field.
