Job Description
Job Title:Desktop Support Technician
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Hardware Setup: Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Software Installation: Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, and software applications.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including hardware replacement, software reinstallation, and driver updates.
- User Training: Provide basic training to end-users on software applications and best practices for maintaining their devices.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided.
- Remote Support: Offer remote assistance to off-site users using remote desktop tools and phone support.
- Travel in/around KC metro area to other locations as needed

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree or relevant technical certifications a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, IOS, Android), hardware components, and networking concepts.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and friendly manner.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in documenting issues and solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and other IT teams to provide effective support.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Valid Driver's License
