Job Description:

A rare opportunity is available for a Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to our employees at our state-of-the-art radio facilities in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring software and peripheral equipment, and maintaining and upgrading computer systems. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, setting up and configuring new hardware and software, and providing technical support to end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
• Maintain and update technical support documentation.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
• Set up and configure new hardware and software.
• Experience with radio automation software is preferred but not required
• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Ensure that all computers are secure and up to date with the latest security software.
• Perform regular maintenance on computer systems and networks.
• Must be willing to work off hours and be on call as needed.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
• Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
