This role is located at our New York Office. This individual must reside within commuting distance, we are currently 4 days in office. There is no opportunity for exclusively remote work within this role.

- Help to create and present the seasonal design language and vision for color, materials and graphics. This includes looking at FILA’s heritage and archive of color, materials and graphics to create a strong authentic brand narrative that sets up apart from our competitors.
- Assist in creating horizontal category and sports moments by leading color and material narratives/executions
- Assist in setting the tone for color and material usage through application suggestions and styling exercises
- Support with the creation of seasonal toolkits to help the internal design teams execute the color strategy and direction of the brand
- Help to maintain color and material palettes for the product design teams in both physical and digital format
- Work with external suppliers and factories to develop new colors and materials and stay informed of new material, construction and printing techniques
- Build stories that create cross-category cohesiveness with color, materials and graphics that exceed industry expectations and position FILA as a market leader
- Optimize color design across an extensive and complex raw material matrix to ensure successful color applications to textiles
- Understanding of color and material trends, application and cycles
- Ability to conduct in-depth research on consumer trends and insights in order to drive innovative design solutions
- High level of creativity and elevated taste level
- An eye for color and trend with an understanding of color theory and design process
- Understanding of marketplace, brand history, consumer and current positioning
- A desire to continuously learn, explore and question what’s next
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to collaborate with key business partners
- Adobe Illustrator is a must and Photoshop is a nice to have
- Positive energy and the ability to inspire teammates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education/Experience:
- 4 year College or University degree in Apparel, Graphics, Materials or other relevant design field. Candidates with relevant work experience in place of a degree/full time education will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in athletic or activewear design organization
- Thorough knowledge of art and design with a clear understanding of visual design
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Walking, sitting, and lifting no more than 10 pounds.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Salary: $86,000-105,000 *
At FILA USA, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
