Job Summary:
Mechanical Designer who learns with training from more senior electrical designer/engineer to gain skills and achieve certifications.
36-month apprenticeship program (hourly rate increase contingent on skill progression and associated course work)
Updates diagrams and schematics for production builds
Supports production with mechanical related questions to production builds
Improves designs through CAD updates to improve assembly process, reduce quality issues, and add product features
Creates work order packets and submittal files
Responsibilities:
Updates Mechanical drawings and 3D models
Strong willingness to learn mechanical design processes and HVAC fundamentals
Classroom training is required dependent on previous education level and must be logged timely and accurately.
Classroom training includes - HVAC Technology courses, CAD, Electrical
External coursework may be required to continue progression.
Flexible to move from area to area to assist with assembly processes.

Preferred - 3+ months experience as Intern (Design, MFG Engineering, Quality Engineering, or equivalent)
Associates degree, In 2nd -year student, or >50% complete with a two-year degree in Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R, or equivalent
Experience with modeling 3D CAD (Creo, Solidworks, etc)
Preferred - AutoCAD experience
