Our Space Division is looking for a Design Engineering Associate to join them. You will report to the Drafting Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, New York.
To be considered for the Design Engineering Associate, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Typically a Bachelor of Science or Technology degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus two to three years of design experience
- A suitable alternative is an Associate's degree with 10 years of Design Drafting experience and strong knowledge of mechanical hardware and electrical packaging design, including 2-4 years of engineering experience
- Ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques
- Working knowledge of engineering principles and drafting practices and the ability to execute cognitive engineering tasks
- Proficient usage of CAD software and tools
As a Design Engineering Associate, you will:
- Produce complex design layouts and or 3D solid models independently, helping develop concepts capable of defining better visualization, clearance checks, and analysis and design direction, for exploring possible design approaches.
- Support designs with stress, thermal and kinematic analyses using an appropriate mix of hand and computer generated calculations.
- Plan and conduct efforts requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard and nonstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and processes.
- Participate as a member of concurrent product development teams designing with attention toward design-to-cost, manufacturability, and feasibility of assembly.

Salary Range:
- $69,638.40 - $128,585.60
