(www.primeeng.com), a multi-faceted and rapidly growing A/E firm with 20+ office locations in ten states and over 500 employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast, is seeking a creative, talented Design Engineer – Water/Wastewater to join our existing Water-Resources/Environmental Team at our Corporate office in Baltimore, MD.
Position Overview:
The Design Engineer will serve on the design team for key water projects. Typical projects include studies and designs related:
- Water and sewer pipeline rehabilitation and replacement
- Pump stations
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Storm drainage systems
- Stormwater management structures
Responsibilities:
- Develop design plans such as schedules and detailed phases of projects.
- Revise drawings and completes standard calculations used in the completion of engineering plans.
- Assess (or assists with assessing, depending on experience) the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations.
- Ensure proper quality control procedures are implemented on all projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- EIT or PE preferred.
- Targeting 0-5 years’ design experience and/or interest in water, wastewater and stormwater management/design.
- Willingness to get engaged in a wide range of projects including water and wastewater system studies/reports and associated design of improvements preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Self-motivated critical thinker that is willing to work both collaboratively and independently.
