Pay/Schedule:
Commensurate with Experience
8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
Position Summary:
As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, contributing to the creation and development of innovative solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to translate conceptual ideas into practical design plans, ensuring the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in engineering, a creative mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main responsibilities:
Engineer custom displays
Supervise prototype development
Create quote drawings & production documents & bills of materials
Interface with account executives, designers, estimators, production staff and outside vendors
Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the construction of permanent displays and fixtures
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Ability to efficiently create accurate engineering drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to research materials and processes
- Knowledge of metal tubing, sheet metal & wire fabrication as well as molded plastics & wood components
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Experience integrating electronics into displays is a plus
