Exciting Opportunity for a Design Engineer in Plastic Thermoforming in Batavia IL!
Join our client’s innovative team as a Design Engineer and contribute to cutting edge projects in plastic thermoforming. If you are passionate about design and have a solid background in 2D and 3D product development and tooling designs, we want to hear from you!
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am start time with potential overtime
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities and some duties as our Design Engineer include:
- Design new thermoformed products and associated tooling.
- Produce 2D and 3D product designs, drawings per customer specifications.
- Produce 2D and 3D tooling designs per customer and company specifications.
- Collaborates with customers, project manager and other internal teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understand CNC’s and machining. · Other duties as assigned.

Design Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or 5 years’ experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge or aptitude.
- Project management experience.
- Use precise measuring equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate.
- Creative, highly motivated, self-starter.
Preferred Requirements:
- ISO 9001:2015 experience strongly preferred.
- Thermoforming part and tool design
- Experience with previous Tools & Technologies as a Design Engineer such as:
- Design software, such as SolidWorks PDM or similar programs.
- (ERP) Software
